Our forefathers called it freedom of speech, the press, expression. It is one of our inalienable rights written in the Constitution of the United States of America. It was deemed of such importance by our forefathers that it is the very first Amendment to our Constitution. Yet, the present administration is trying to stifle and suppress this very freedom. And I applaud the cable channel Fox News and its affiliates for having the guts to speak out on the issues. I applaud all of those who are also speaking out about the programs now being forced down the throats of the American public.
Say what you want, but no one can deny that the Fox News “fair and balanced” approach is steadily growing in popularity as this administration continues to disappoint on issue after issue. More folks tune in every day, whether they agree or disagree, to--at the very least--find out what is actually going on. How would the people of this country ever have known that there was a Cap and Trade Bill, a Card Check proposal or about the deficiencies of the Health Care Bill currently under discussion in Congress? It certainly didn’t appear in my newspaper or on my local TV news. I didn’t see or hear a word on the major three networks either.
Did it ever occur to the White House that if they delivered on their transparency promise and actually told the citizens what was going on Fox News and talk radio would have nothing to report? If those in the White House lived up to their campaign promises there would have been no tax evasion issues, Van Jones scandal or Acorn expose^. All would have been discovered, disclosed and handled. Nothing derogatory could have been said.
How could anyone be against the open and honest administration that was promised? That was the change that was promised but that is not the change we are experiencing. Instead we have this cloaked, clandestine, conglomerate that governs by concealment and camouflage. This type of government cannot and will not act in the best interest of the United States of America. This type of government acts for self-interests alone. This type of government is dictatorial and subverts the principles, freedoms and liberties on which our country stands. So speak out America! Let your voice be heard. Those elected to office work for you. Tell them exactly what you think. Do it today.
