And they say Madoff is the biggest con man of the century. For my money, I would give that title to Al Gore. What a bill of goods he has sold the people of the world. And I would put his global warming theory at the very top of the scam list. I believe that it is the biggest con scheme of this century and maybe all other centuries combined.

But you ask, “What is a former Vice President and a losing Presidential Candidate going to do with all the time he now has on his hands?” Well, why not create a cause to save the world from destruction? All he would need to do is invest his celebrity in a “worthy” project to rally world support and then fill his pockets with all the dollars that roll in. And Al Gore has done just that.

Since leaving government service in 2001, Al Gore has earned tens of millions of dollars and has invested many of those dollars betting on and promoting his Global Warming Theories. The scale of his wealth can only be estimated by the investments he has made. One in particular was $35 million to Capricorn Investment Group, said to be responsible for reducing between 200 and 1,000 metric tons of carbon emissions in the current year. 

Along with Capricorn, Gore has invested in a broad array of environmentally friendly energy and technology business ventures such as carbon trading markets, bio fuels, solar power and cells, electric vehicles, fish farming and waterless urinals. And, as he pushes his Global Warming Climate Change theories, the accolades and profits just keep rolling in.

Gore was awarded an Academy Award for a fallacious film called An Inconvenient Truth. The only inconvenience here is that he and all his cohorts have been found out and the gravy train MAY just stop. Still they have made untold millions on this fairy tale so far.

He also was presented with a Noble Prize. More notoriety and praise for this bottled-up snake-oil theory that is being force-fed to the populace the world over. But the piece de résistance was the Energy Department’s announcement of $3.4 billion in smart grid grants with $560 million to utilities that have contracts with Silver Spring Networks.

Silver Spring Networks produces hardware and software to increase the energy grid’s efficiency.  Looking for investment money, Silver Spring Network presented Al Gore and his firm Kleiner, Perkins Caufield & Byers with their idea to install “smart meters” in millions of homes and businesses.  After all the hype, what better way to “save America for future generations” or in actuality what better way to line one’s pockets with taxpayer dollars.

While Al Gore’s investment in Global Warming is large, he and his cohorts could recoup their investment many times over in coming years, especially if the Cap and Trade Bill now in the Senate passes. And its passage is quite possible because there are members of Congress and other influential people who also have large investments in “Green Energy”. Among them are the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.  and—who would have guessed?—some of the very scientists who postulated Global Warming in the first place.

The Cap and Trade Bill must be stopped. This Global Warming/Climate Change hysteria must end. The millions and billions of dollars already poured into and the proposed future expenditures that will be dumped into the Global Warming pot must be redirected and put to better use. These dollars would do wonders if applied against the U.S. Debt and used to bolster the U.S. Economy. These dollars would reduce America’s liabilities and dependence on foreign investment dollars. The dollars would strengthen the U.S. dollar and show that the U.S. is acting responsibly towards paying down its debt. Used responsibly, these dollars would show that America is taking a giant step toward reclaiming its place as leader of the free world. It is time we told our representatives in Congress to act responsibly. It is time we told them to stop spending our money and start paying down our debt.
